We're huge Bruce Lee fans here at TrainHeroic. So much so that we actually followed his advice with our latest release.
“It’s not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.” - Bruce Lee
Today we're excited to announce a brand new mobile app that aims to improve your training experience with improved speed, reliability, and useability. We've stripped down, simplified, and streamlined your mobile training experience.
In an effort to improve our products and remain a coach centered plaform, we sat down and took a hard look at our current suite of mobile tools. While the experience was "good enough", we weren't happy with the current state of the user experience.
So we set out to improve it.
In short, we wanted to simplify your interaction with the mobile app so you can spend more time focused on your upcoming set and less time fidgeting with your phone.
Be sure to watch the entire video to get the full scoop on this release. But in a nutshell, here's what you can expect:
- Improved Speed and Reliability
- Refined User Experience and Flow
- Daily Training View
- Offline Logging
With our old mobile app, it was hard to get a snap shot of what training you had scheduled. You had to scroll through the entire session to get a grip on what was coming your way.
With this release, weset out to answer a couple questions: "What am I doing today? What am I doing this week?"
With the new Training View, you'll be able to see all of your training at a glance. No more scrolling endlessly just to know what's on your plate today.
You're also able to filter this view to see only the training that's relevant for you.
Going along with the theme of simplifying the user experience, you'll notice a couple improvements to your logging view.
As you log each section, you'll have some visual cues to guide your progress. On the top of the screen, you'll see your progress through the session as a whole. And in the main section of the screen, you'll see the prescribed parameters for that specific exercise (sets, reps, loading, instructions, etc).
From here, you can easily tap into the exercise for tips, instructional videos, and your complete training log.
We're giving you more flexibilty in what you want to see on the leaderboard. You can filter the results to global, if you're training on a worldwide online team. Or, if you would rather just see those athletes on your team or your gym, you can easily do so.
By default, the leaderboard will show both Male and Female scores. But what if you're strong lady and only wanna compare your score to the ladies? With a couple taps, you can do just that.
And finally, you can filter the leaderboard results by RX and Scaled.
We're serious about getting better. If you have any feedback, good or bad, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know.
